Welcome to Council’s FREE Stormwater Safety Education Program.
This curriculum linked safety program aims to save lives by educating primary aged students on the dangers of playing in stormwater drains and flash floods.
It includes:
- Free curriculum linked teaching resources (the new national Australian curriculum and current Queensland curriculum) including interactive activities and printable fact sheets for grade four to grade six students
- In class presentations by Council and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service including a fire truck visit
- Stormwater safety DVD
- Interactive stormwater safety map.
